Save with Wufoo's New Annual Plans

CtA Annual Plans

Hey, hey friends and friends of friends! Wufoo Team is checking in with some new plans for our devoted users who are in it with us for the long haul. On our [plans and pricing page](http://www.wufoo.com/signup/) and under the [Account Manager](https://help.wufoo.com/articles/en_US/kb/Account-Manager/) inside Wufoo, you can see that we’ve added a button to allow you to access our new [annual plans](http://www.wufoo.com/annual/)!

Now you can conveniently pay for a year’s worth of service upfront and also save some money since the new annual plans offer a discount equivalent to about **3** months of service! So if you know that you’re going to need several forms active for a project for many, many months, then you’ll find these new annual plans to be budget friendly.

Many thanks to Chris Campbell and our brothers and sisters at SurveyMonkey for helping us rearchitect our billing system to accomodate these new annual plans. Please note that if you were manually setup on an annual plan by us in the past, there’s no need for you to make any changes. We’ll work with you and take of everything as you come up for renewal.

For users that want to or are currently being charged by invoice, we’re afraid these annual plans are just for users that are okay with being charged via credit card. Don’t worry, though. The ability to request invoice billing is the next phase in our billing improvements. Until then, happy form building!

  • Does prorating work if we need to jump a level?

For example, we’re content with Bona Fide for what seems like 10 out of 12 months, and then we run a big contest and need the extra entries.

    Thanks

  • Yes, you will be prorated if you upgrade from either a monthly to an annual plan or an annual plan to a higher annual plan.

  • When does the change take effect in terms of a current monthly plan? Should I wait until the end of my current month before changing over, or will I only be billed for the yearly plan at the beginning of my next month?

I am not sure I understand how will it work if you need to upgrade or downgrade later after already having paid for a year. Could you please clarify?

    Thank you

  • I have essentially the same question as Jeremy above, but I don’t understand the answer he was given. To put it in different terms – If we pay the annual fee for a Bona Fide plan and then have a sudden spike of 10,000 entries one month, does that…
    A) Result in an additional charge of $40 to reflect a monthly Carpe Diem plan for that month, or,
    B) Result in an additional charge of $340 to reflect an annual Carpe Diem plan for the year, or,
    C) Result in an additional charge of “0.05 per entry” as mentioned below the pricing grid, for a total of $350,
    or …
    D) None of the above?

  • Charl & Carl,

You are prorated anytime you upgrade from one plan to another. So if you signed up for a $29.95 plan this morning, but decided that you really wanted a $259 plan this afternoon, then you would receive a $29.95 discount when upgrading to the annual plan. If you upgraded to a $29.95 plan this morning, but you decided to upgrade to annual plan mid-month, then you would receive about a $15 discount.

If you were just charged your monthly fee and you want to upgrade to an annual plan, you can do it whenever you like. You will receive a discount for any unused days on your current subscription.

If you receive more entries than expected, then you will be charged a one time overage fee of $0.05/entry at the end of the current month. So if you are on the Bona Fide plan and receive 1000 extra entries, then you would be charged a one time fee of $50.

  • Great move! For nonprofits who shift from monthly to annual payments, is there an additional savings for those of us falling in that category?

  • Everyone needs a hug. I am paying $9 per month. That is cheaper than the annual plan. What exactly is my benefit to going annual?

  • Hey Deb, you’re on one of our older pricing plans that was grandfathered in after we raised rates. Since the annual plans are set based on current monthly pricing, the numbers wouldn’t work for you, but that’s okay since you’re welcome to continue using wufoo on your current monthly pricing.

Oh! And thanks for being with us for so long!
